Multiple Jet Ski riders in Florida were rescued after they became stuck in the mud at low tide Tuesday night, officials said.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said that at around 9:46 p.m. on June 2, a caller reported “several” people became stranded while riding Jet Skis near the Williams Park Boat Ramp in Riverview.

According to the sheriff’s office, when one rider failed to return, the rest went searching for them. They found the rider stuck in the mud near Bird Island, but as they tried to help, they also became stranded due to low tide.

The sheriff’s office sent a Marine Unit airboat, with an aerial unit above helping to locate the group.

A video shared by the sheriff’s office shows a group of people standing in the muddy shallows around the stuck watercraft in pitch dark as the sheriff’s airboat arrived to pick them up.

The sheriff’s office said all of the individuals were safely transported back to shore, and no injuries were reported.
