Elisabeth Hasselbeck is returning to daytime TV.

On Wednesday, February 4, the hit talk show’s executive producer Brian Teta revealed to Deadline that the Survivor alum, 48, will serve as one of the guest hosts when Republican commentator Alyssa Farah Griffin takes her maternity leave. (Other guest hosts include Abby Huntsman, Amanda Carpenter, Sheryl Underwood, Whitney Cummings and Savannah Chrisley.)

The TV personality, who was a permanent host on the show from 2003 to 2013, will join hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines and Ana Navarro.

Teta told the outlet that, when making the selection of who to have on as guest host, it was “all about a different point of view at the table,” and people “who are good at this job or who have the potential to be good at this job.”

The news comes after Hasselbeck called out Behar, 83, in January 2025 for criticizing Carrie Underwood‘s decision to perform at President Donald Trump‘s inauguration.

“That @TheView @JoyVBehar needs to simmer down off my friend,” Hasselbeck wrote on X at the time.

Dring Hasselbeck’s time on the show, she had an infamous on-air fight with former co-host Rosie O’Donnell about the Iraq War in 2007. After the heated argument, O’Donnell, 63, did not return.
