Could third time be the charm for Cher?

The “Believe” singer, 79, was spotted wedding a massive diamond ring on that finger at son Chaz Bono’s Los Angeles wedding to Shara Blue Mathes on Sunday, March 8, sparking speculation that she and her much-younger boyfriend, Alexander “AE” Edwards, may be walking down the aisle, too.

“Cher loves to keep people guessing when it comes to her love life,” a source admits to the National Enquirer. “She gets a huge thrill out of wearing a big diamond ring on that finger and getting everyone to speculate. Then she’ll turn around and insist nothing is official but that’s because she doesn’t like to jinx things before they happen.”

That being said, “she’s very serious about Alex and he has asked her to marry him,” the source reveals. “It’s just a matter of her pulling the trigger.”

Wedding bells may be ringing sooner rather than later for Cher.

“Being at Chaz’s wedding stirred up a lot of emotions for her,” the source says of the Goddess of Pop. “She’s now saying she’s ready to take the plunge with Alex ASAP.”

It would be the third wedding for Cher, who was previously wed to Sonny Bono and Gregg Allman, with whom she shares son Elijah Blue Allman — and the first for music executive Alex, 39, who co-parents 6-year-old son Slash with ex-girlfriend Amber Rose.

“Cher has never been someone who believes age should slow her down and she insists she still feels incredibly young,” adds the source. “She jokes that she fully intends to make it to at least 120 and says she has plenty of life left to live.”
