Billie Eilish seemingly spewed a fiery rant toward Elon Musk following news that he is on track to become a trillionaire.
On Thursday, November 13, Eilish, 23, took to her Instagram Story to repost a few slides from a post shared by the official account for “My Voice My Choice,” with the initial slide declaring Musk has become “the world’s first trillionaire.” (According to AP, Musk could become a trillionaire in the next decade only if he hits certain performance targets.)
The post shared by the movement — which aims to protect reproductive rights in Europe — and Eilish featured slides suggesting what Musk could do with his money: End world hunger, save endangered species and rebuild Gaza.
“Etc….Fing pathetic py bh coward,” Eilish, 23, wrote in her final Instagram Story, not specifically naming the Tesla CEO.
Musk, 54, has not responded publicly to Eilish’s post.
“We’re in a time right now where the world is really, really bad and really dark,” Eilish, the recipient of an Innovator Award, said onstage. “People need empathy and help more than …. ever, especially in our country and I’d say, if you have money, it would be great to use it for good things and maybe give it to some people that need it.”
“Love you all, but there’s a few people in here that have a lot more money than me and if you’re a billionaire — why are you a billionaire?” Eilish added. “No hate but, yeah, give your money away, shorties.”
Billionaire Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan were in the audience, and according to People, an audience member told the outlet that the couple did not clap during Eilish’s speech.
