Avalanche Rescue of Person Buried in Snow on Vail Pass. The Person Only Suffered Minor Injuries, Per Law Enforcement

A skier was rescued after being buried for over an hour in an avalanche on Vail Pass on February 17th, according to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office. Emergency crews located the victim, who miraculously survived with only minor injuries. Officials praised the swift and coordinated efforts of deputies and the Summit County Rescue Group in the successful rescue.
