Three people have been arrested after authorities in California found approximately $9,000 worth of allegedly stolen cosmetics and beauty products in their car last week.
The Irvine Police Department said its Real-Time Crime Center alerted officers on Feb. 17 to a vehicle allegedly connected to multiple thefts of cosmetics from CVS. Officers located the vehicle near a shopping center with a CVS and initiated a traffic stop.
Body-worn camera video shared by the police department shows officers finding multiple trash bags in the vehicle. The bags contained some $9,000 worth of cosmetics allegedly stolen from CVS locations across the area.
All three occupants of the vehicle were arrested. Karmen Idalgo, 38; Cristhian Alexis Ramos Fuentes, 23; and Yeysi Erubiel Carmona Lorenzo, 19, were each charged with organized retail theft, grand theft, conspiracy, and possession of stolen property.
