Linda Fiorentino, who was the toast of Hollywood after dazzling audiences in a string of 1990s hits, has fallen on hard times, claiming in a bankruptcy filing she has only $10,000 to her name.
The 67-year-old actress, who hasn’t had a film role since 2009, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in California in 2023 after running up $300,000 in tax, credit card and loan debt, according to Daily Mail.

The Philadelphia-born actor’s performance so impressed Hollywood bigwigs she scored a part in the 1997 blockbuster Men in Black. But that’s when her luck began to change. Her costar Tommy Lee Jones claimed she was “difficult to work with” and reportedly refused to be in the sequel if she was cast, which tanked her chance to appear in Men in Black II.

Then director Kevin Smith said she “created crisis and trauma and anguish” on the set of Dogma, his hit 1999 comedy. He also accused her of “going nuts” after they photoshopped her face on another person’s body for a poster after she supposedly refused to do a promotional shoot. (Smith later apologized for his complaints and said they’d cleared the air.)

But insiders say she may also have been blackballed in Hollywood because she allegedly rejected advances from Miramax producer Harvey Weinstein, which led to her being exiled from the industry. Although Weinstein has been accused of sexual assault by multiple women, he has denied them and Fiorentino has never made any allegations against him.
According to her bankruptcy filing, Fiorentino owed over $93,000 in back taxes and $57,412 to American Express.
She valued her jewelry at a pitiful $160, including “Urban Outfitters small hoop earrings,” “Satya Bead Necklace” and a “Starburst necklace.” She estimated the total value of her clothes at $475, a major comedown for a star who used to be a regular on best-dressed lists.
Despite her once promising career, Fiorentino has seemingly disappeared — it’s not known where she’s living and she has no online presence. But legions of fans would love to see her make a comeback.
