Simon Cowell is ready to bury the hatchet with Sharon Osbourne in the wake of husband Ozzy’s death on July 22.
“Simon has been there for Sharon and her kids during this horrible time,” a source tells the National Enquirer.
He’s even prepared to help the outspoken 72-year-old find her next gig. “When she’s ready, he’ll point her toward new opportunities and usher her into the next chapter of her career,” adds the source.
The pair last worked together on The X Factor in 2017. Two years later, Osbourne sparked a feud by accusing Cowell, 65, of firing her “for being too old” on an episode of The Talk, per People.

Despite the fact that they’ve continued to “play up their ‘frenemy’ status over the years” — while appearing on Celebrity Big Brotherin 2024, Osbourne declared that she wouldn’t work with him again for “all the money in the world” — Cowell maintained to the Mirror they are “good friends” behind the scenes.
Earlier this year, Osbourne, who quit her co-hosting job on The Talk amid a storm of controversy in 2023, acknowledged on X that she “enjoyed” working with the entertainment impresario.
Being a judge on The X-Factor on and off between 2004 and 2017 and America’s Got Talent from 2007 to 2012 was “great fun,” the longtime music manager admitted in the post, adding that “Simon paid me very well.”
Now she may get another chance. “They had unforgettable chemistry and he never lost money betting on her,” says the source, adding that Cowell wants to see her do well.
“She needs all the love and support she can get, and it’s just second nature for the guy,” says the source. “The mutual respect between them is still as strong as it gets!”
