Shocking Allegations Made Against Selena Gomez’s Mom Throwing Bride-to-Be ‘For a Real Loop’

Selena Gomez is dealing with another crisis as she tries to plan her dream wedding to Benny Blanco — her mother’s involvement in a messy drug scandal, sources tell the National Enquirer.

According to a story published by The Cut, Selena’s mom, Mandy Teefey, 49, who cofounded the mental-health startup Wondermind with her 33-year-old daughter, has been accused by a former staffer of snorting the ADHD drug Ritalin in the company’s West Hollywood office, which Mandy denies.

“These accusations are devastating,” says an insider. “Selena is extremely close to her mom, so as you can imagine this has thrown her for a real loop.”

Mandy is adamantly denying the allegations, and Selena is 100 percent backing her up. “Her heart is with her mom but she’s trying to pull this wedding together and now her mom isn’t in the right headspace to help at all,” says the source. “If anything, she’s needing Selena’s support and attention.”

“Mandy has to fight back legally and that’s taking all her time and attention. It’s not exactly putting her in the ‘mother of the bride’ mood,” according to our insider.

Sadly, the whole situation is casting a dark shadow over Selena’s special day, leaving her utterly distraught, especially as her anxiety levels were already in overdrive.

As readers know, the Emilia Pérez star’s been freaking out about every detail of the festivities, from the guest list to security.

The Billboard Music Award winner is inviting many of her A-list pals like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, Jennifer Aniston and Cara Delevingne as well as her Only Murders in the Building costars Steve Martin, Martin Short and Meryl Streep. “Some of them need security and special accommodations and she’s a nervous wreck over it,” a source says.

“She also has to decide on her bridesmaids and her maid of honor, and she worries somebody’s going to be offended if they’re not asked,” the source says.

So the last thing she needed was the scandal with Mandy. “This is supposed to be the happiest time in Selena’s life and Mandy’s drama is taking center stage and sucking all the joy out of it,” the insider says.
