Sean “Diddy” Combs was sentenced to 50 months, or a little more than four years, in prison on Friday, October 3, following his July conviction on two charges of transportation of former girlfriends for prostitution.
“You abused the power and control with women you professed to love,” Judge Arun Subramanian told him. “You abused them physically, emotionally and psychologically.”
As the National Enquirer previously reported, the music mogul, 55, had submitted a letter and a Hollywood-style, eleven-and-a-half minute documentary about his life to the judge before sentencing.

The hearing represents the end of a dramatic year for Combs, whose ex, Cassie Ventura, made headlines when she gave bombshell testimony against him in court. Jurors were also shown graphic clips of the sex-fueled “freak-offs” he conducted with her.
Combs was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges, but expressed remorse for his actions in his letter to the judge.
“I have to admit, my downfall was rooted in my selfishness. The scene and images of me assaulting Cassie play over and over in my head daily. I literally lost my mind,” the father of six wrote. “I was dead wrong for putting my hands on the woman that I loved. I’m sorry for that and always will be.”
“This experience is simply the truth of my existence and has changed my life forever,” he continued, “and I will never commit a crime again.”
