Sean “Diddy” Combs penned a lengthy apology letter to the judge one day ahead of his sentencing hearing.
“I want to apologize and say how sincerely sorry I am for all of the hurt and pain that I have caused others by my conduct,” Combs, 55, wrote in a letter filed Thursday, October 2, according to TMZ. “I take full responsibility and accountability for my past wrongs. This has been the hardest 2 years of my life, and I have no one to blame for my current reality and situation but myself.”
He went on to explain that he is “no longer running” from his mistakes, adding, “My pain became my teacher.”
Combs was arrested and indicted in September 2024 on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. After a lengthy court battle, Combs was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy but was convicted on two lesser charges of violating the Mann Act.
“I have to admit, my downfall was rooted in my selfishness. The scene and images of me assaulting Cassie play over and over in my head daily. I literally lost my mind,” Combs continued. “I was dead wrong for putting my hands on the woman that I loved. I’m sorry for that and always will be.”

The music mogul revealed he contemplated taking his own life while behind bars but added, “I choose to live.” He explained that he’s turned his life around, including getting sober “for the first time in 25 years.”
Combs, who is facing up to 20 years in prison, is begging the judge for mercy as he heads to his sentencing hearing on Friday, October 3.
“Between of all of my losses and lessons, I can state for a fact that I will never be in another criminal courtroom again,” he promised. “Today, I humbly ask you for another chance…I am writing this not to gain any sympathy or pity, this experience is simply the truth of my existence and has changed my life forever and I will never commit a crime again.”
