Michael Jackson’s former associate, Vincent Amen, is recalling a harrowing truth that he discovered while working for the late singer.

Amen — who worked for the King of Pop from 2002 to 2003 — appeared in the new Netflix docuseries Michael Jackson: The Verdict. In the first episode, Amen explained that after the child molestation scandal broke in the 2000s, the police began raiding homes of associates, including Jackson’s personal assistant Frank Tyson, who grew up with the “Thriller” hitmaker.

“Frank cleaned out his house of anything that came from the Neverland Ranch. And he hands me a Nike bag. I took the bag, and I’m driving home, and I felt, ‘Something’s a little suspicious,'” Amen recalled. “And I said, ‘Let me take a look in this bag.’ I start taking videos to document this. I open the bag. I start looking, and I see a magazine.”

“Start flipping through it and there was Sharpie circles around the video ordering section,” Amen continued. “Someone wanted these videos, circled the ones they want. These videos, which are children that [don’t have clothes on] Some with family, some just … children.”

The docuseries showed footage of a magazine titled Naturally with circles around two inappropriate categories.

“I confronted Frank, I said, ‘You know Frank, what is this magazine?'” he recounted. “He says, ‘That’s just a phase that Michael and I went through. He circled the videos that he wanted. I ordered them.’ They watched them together.'”

Amen said he “was in disbelief,” and “very upset,” upon learning this.

“My inclination was, after finding this and sitting there thinking about it, was that Frank is so close to Michael that he’s covering up for him,” Amen theorized. “That was the defining moment for me. That was the moment that hit me so hard where I realized that there’s something going on here.”
