Sean “Diddy” Combs spent Thanksgiving behind bars at FCI Fort Dix, but according to multiple reports, the disgraced music mogul turned the day into a surprisingly festive event for the inmates around him.
TMZ reported on Friday, November 28, that Combs, 56, helped organize and bankroll a Thanksgiving meal for up to 1,000 inmates at the New Jersey facility. Sources told the outlet that the feast included baked chicken, cornbread stuffing, macaroni and cheese and holiday desserts. Complex also reported the same details, noting that the meal was described as a bright spot in an otherwise routine holiday inside the low security federal prison.
“Thanksgiving, to me, is about making sure other people eat. Everybody misses their family,” Combs told the outlet. “People get depressed during the holidays. We just wanted to come together as a family and do our own thing.”

Page Six added that the day went beyond just food. Their report stated that the inmates enjoyed music, card games and a holiday concert. However, the outlet emphasized that this was still within the limits of standard prison rules and supervision.
Diddy has not commented publicly, but the reports said he wanted to create a sense of community for the inmates who could not be with their families. He has been housed at Fort Dix since earlier this year while awaiting developments in his ongoing legal troubles.
Multiple outlets reported that the Thanksgiving meal was well received by those inside and the gift from the “Mo’ Money, Mo’ Problems” rapper marked one of the first reports from inside Fort Dix that focused on something other than legal headlines.
