Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cheryl Hines Are Like a ‘Teenage Couple in Love’ After Olivia Nuzzi Scandal

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cheryl Hines have reportedly worked through their issues surrounding the politician’s alleged sexting affair with former New York Magazine journalist Olivia Nuzzi.

In a Page Six article published on Monday, July 13, a source said the couple “were holding hands and kissing while touring Belgrade,” the capital of Serbia, which has a street named after President John F. Kennedy.

“They were super affectionate with each other. He had his arm around her and at one point kissed her,” the source claimed. “They acted like a teenage couple in love with all his sexting scandals clearly in the rearview mirror.”

The outlet reported that the husband-and-wife duo was checking out a Game of Thrones exhibit on their trip.

The United States Secretary of Health and Human Services, 72, and the actress, 60, had many eyes on their marriage over the past few years after New York Magazine announced in September 2024 that Nuzzi “acknowledged to the magazine’s editors that she had engaged in a personal relationship with a former subject relevant to the 2024 campaign while she was reporting on the campaign.”

Nuzzi, 33, was fired from her job in October 2024.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for RFK Jr. insisted, “Mr. Kennedy only met Olivia Nuzzi once in his life for an interview she requested, which yielded a hit piece,” per Newsweek.

While appearing on The Katie Miller Podcast in October 2025, the Curb Your Enthusiasm alum was asked how she keeps her “cool” and decides which rumors about her marriage to address.

“I think you always have to consider the source, right?” Hines said. “So that’s where I start. And then it ends with a conversation with Bobby. Getting to the truth of the matter, and then that’s where it ends.”

Page Six has reported that Nuzzi and RFK Jr. had an “intense relationship” via phone consisting of sex on FaceTime and expressing love for each other.
