Nick Jonas may be a pop star with Broadway dreams, but his latest venture, The Last Five Years, is shaping up to be a high-profile flop.

Sources say the limited-run revival has failed to find favor with audiences or critics, despite the name on the marquee.

“Lukewarm reviews and zero Tony nominations is a deadly combo,” says one Broadway insider. “They needed to be a top earner every week to break even, and they’re nowhere near that.”

And a producer whispers: “There’s no momentum, no awards buzz. No viral moment. Just Nick in a show people aren’t connecting with.”

“Folks are clamoring to get tickets for George Clooney and Denzel Washington‘s shows,” notes friend. “Nick is devastated.”
