Melania Trump is cracking down on son Barron’s screen time, according to Rob Shuter.
As the National Enquirer previously reported, Barron, 19, was named in a U.K. trial after calling authorities to report that he had seen a friend being assaulted over a video call.
Jurors were shown evidence suggesting the accused 22-year-old Matvei Rumiantsev was jealous of the relationship the unnamed woman had with President Donald Trump’s son. Rumiantsev was found guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm on Wednesday, January 28, CNN reported.

The trial “scared everyone” around the college student and confirmed their “worst fears. Barron wasn’t just chatting — he was emotionally invested,” one insider explained to Shuter for his Naughty But Nice Substack on Tuesday, February 3.
“Nobody could pretend this was harmless teenage flirting anymore,” another source added.
The first lady, 55, immediately took action, Shuter reported, and banned Barron from having online relationships with women. “No debate. No negotiations. The answer was simply: this stops now.”
“No exceptions. No loopholes,” another source added. “Melania was crystal clear.”

That will be a challenge for the college student, an insider told Shuter, because he is socially awkward in person, but “behind a screen, he feels safe. He feels seen.”
But Melania doesn’t want to risk it.
“This wasn’t punishment,” another insider insisted. “It was protection — and a hard lesson learned.”
