Kid Rock wasn’t a big fan of Conan O’Brien‘s diss about him at the Oscars.
The Born Free singer, 55, was the subject of one of the talk show host’s quips in his opening monologue at the 98th Academy Awards on Sunday, March 15.
O’Brien poked fun at the rocker’s involvement in Turning Point USA’s All-American Halftime Show online concert, which was a protest against the Bad Bunny-headlined Super Bowl Halftime Show in February.
During the Oscars, O’Brien joked: “I should warn you, tonight could get political. And if that makes you uncomfortable, there’s an alternate Oscars being hosted by Kid Rock.
“It’s at the Dave and Busters down the street. A lot of tickets for that.”

However, Kid Rock took to X to respond to the joke, writing: “I love a good joke, even when I am the butt of it, unfortunately this was not a very good one.”
While he wasn’t a big fan of the quip, he tried to use it to his advantage by plugging his Freedom 250 tour – The Road To Nashville shows.
He added: “Either way, if you want to see a REAL good show this spring / summer that celebrates America and 250 years of Freedom – make sure you buy your tickets from (ugh) Ticketmaster for my Freedom 250 tour – The Road To Nashville. There is a reason for this, TRUST ME!”
As the National Enquirer, Kid Rock looks set to cash in on the shows, which kick off on May 1 in Dallas.
According to the Ticketmaster website, first-class seats for his shows range from $2,000 to $5,000 each. They are within the first few rows closest to the stage.
The “Only God Knows Why” singer announced earlier this month that tickets went on sale February 13 and that the tour will include special guests Jon Pardi, Parker McCollum, Brantley Gilbert and Big & Rich.
A week before the tickets went on sale, Kid Rock responded to his critics ahead of his alternative Super Bowl Halftime Show by using a quote from late NBA legend Kobe Bryant, who passed away in 2020 aged 41.

On Thursday, February 5, the “All Summer Long” singer, whose real name is Robert Richie, took to X where he shared an image of a quote labeled “Mamba Mentality.”
“Learn to love the hate. Embrace it. Enjoy it. You earnt it,” the quote reads.
“Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and everyone should have one about you. Haters are a good problem to have. Nobody hates the good ones. They hate the great ones.”
