Oddly, ABC’s World News Tonight anchor David Muir dedicated a significant portion of his broadcast to Barbra Streisand’s new duets album, leaving many staffers and viewers questioning the network’s priorities, sources say.

“We were all set with updates on the economy, Gaza and the latest from the Oval Office,” an ABC News producer complains. “But David insisted we spotlight Barbra’s new album. It was unexpected, to say the least.”

And a colleague shares: “David has always been a huge fan of Barbra but dedicating prime-time minutes to an album, especially when there’s so much happening globally, is ridiculous. Folks tune in for world news, not a Barbra Streisand fan club meeting!”
