Bad Bunny Admits He ‘Couldn’t Sleep’ Ahead of Super Bowl LX Performance, Reveals How He’s Preparing

Bad Bunny has a big weekend ahead of him.

Ahead of his headlining gig at the 2026 Super Bowl LX halftime show, the Puerto Rican rapper and singer, 31, sat down with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe and Ebro Darden in San Francisco on Thursday, February 5, to talk about game night.

When it comes to the “MONACO” singer’s preparation, he said he’s currently trying to “take it easy” and just “wake up, work out, [have] my coffee [and] try to not think too much about it.”

However, Bad Bunny admitted, “Last night, I couldn’t sleep because I was thinking… I want to think that it’s just 13 minutes [of] doing something that I love.”

He added that he’s just “trying to enjoy it” and said he knows he’s “going to have fun.”

When asked if he planned to have any special guests on stage with him during his set at Levi’s Stadium — where the Seattle Seahawks will take on the New England Patriots — Bad Bunny said, “You know that’s something that I’m not going to tell you. I don’t know why you asked that.”

The artist was a special guest himself when Jennifer Lopez co-headlined the Super Bowl LIV halftime show with Shakira in 2020 in Miami, Florida.

During his conversation at the press event on Thursday, Bad Bunny said he never thought at the time that he would return to the Super Bowl stage by himself in the future.

“I [was] never looking for this,” he admitted. “My biggest achievement — my biggest pleasure — is just [to] create [and] have fun doing it and connect with the people.”

His upcoming performance — which will likely be performed with Spanish lyrics — has been a hot topic since he was announced as headliner.

A petition on Change.org was even created to request that the NFL replace Bad Bunny with country music legend George Strait.

However, Bad Bunny hasn’t let the noise get to his head. During his Saturday Night Live hosting gig last year, he encouraged NFL fans to learn Spanish before he hits the Levi’s Stadium field on Sunday, February 8.

“If you didn’t understand what I just said, you have four months to learn,” he said during his SNL monologue, which was mostly spoken in Spanish.
