Worker Rescued After Falling Down Shaft At Idaho Construction Site
A worker in Idaho was rescued Monday after falling into a shaft at a construction site, fire officials said.
The Boise Fire Department said firefighters and police responded Monday to a construction site on North Lander Street following a report that a worker had fallen into a shaft.
Firefighters said crews on site had already managed to get the worker partially out of the shaft. The fire department’s Tech Team assisted in lifting him the rest of the way out using a rescue basket.
Photos shared by the fire department show crews surrounding a dark hole situated between partially finished concrete walls. Once the patient was secured, it appears crews used a crane at the construction site to lift him out of the shaft.
The man was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
“Good work to crews for a quick and safe rescue,” the fire department said.
