Why Miley Cyrus Won’t Be Inviting Dad Billy Ray’s Girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley to Her Wedding (Exclusive)

Miley Cyrus is putting the finishing touches on her upcoming wedding to fiancé Maxx Morando — and according to a source, there will be no room on the guest list for dad Billy Ray Cyrus’ girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley.

“Miley has nothing against Liz. She really likes her and thinks she’s good for her dad,” says the source. “But this is Miley’s day. She has her vision and the most important thing for her is protecting her peace and for her, that means protecting her mom.”

As the National Enquirer previously reported, Tish Cyrus has found remarried since she and Billy Ray, 64, divorced in 2022, but that doesn’t mean all is forgiven or that she wants to play like they are one big happy family with the country music singer.

“Tish is number one in [Miley’s] world,” notes the source, “and anything that is going to make her feel the least bit uncomfortable is just not going to happen.”

The decision to keep Hurley, 60, off the guest list wasn’t made just for Tish’s sake either, adds the source: “Miley doesn’t want to be worried about anything and she’s such a caretaker, she’d be thinking about how Liz and her mom were getting along instead of her own wedding day.”

Tish, 58, however, will be bringing husband Dominic Purcell to the wedding, the Enquirer’s source reveals.

“They are married so Miley considers him family now,” says the source. “Miley thinks Liz will understand. She’ll just be straight with her and explain why she only wants her direct family there, that it’s nothing against her personally.”
