Miley Cyrus Jokes Fiance Maxx Morando ‘Did Good’ When Choosing Her Custom Engagement Ring
Miley Cyrus didn’t have high hopes when she met fiancé Maxx Morando four years ago. “We got put on a blind date,” the 33-year-old told Vogue. “Well, it was blind for me and not really for him,” the Grammy winner clarified. “I thought, the worst that can happen is I leave.” She was pleasantly surprised when, despite their six-year age gap, she hit it off with the musician, 27.
Surprise turned to shock when Maxx dropped to one knee during a trip to Asia and presented her with a cushion-cut diamond set in a thick gold band. “I am not easy to surprise because I love to control every situation,” Miley, who was previously wed to Liam Hemsworth, admitted on Good Morning America, adding, “I’m telling you, I was so, so, so surprised.”
As for that ring, which the “Flowers” singer showed off at the Avatar: Fire and Ash premiere in L.A. Dec. 1, experts say the custom sparkler by jewelry designer Jacquie Aiche could be worth more than $450,000. Said Miley, “He did good!”
