White House Promotes Freedom Fuel Network Gas Station Offering Gas That Costs $3.47 a Gallon

The White House recently shared an affordable place to get gas, revealing via a Tuesday, July 7, X post that “FREEDOM FUEL HAS ARRIVED.”

“The FIRST Freedom Fuel Network gas station has LANDED in Philadelphia, lowering the price at the pump to $3.47 for our 47th President,” the post read. “President Trump is leading the charge to lower gas prices this summer – putting more money in your pocket.”

The post included a video of customers at the gas station, and one man declared, “Thank you, Trump, for saving me some money,” while another said, “Thank you, President Trump.”

“It’s President Donald J Trump leading the charge to lower gas prices right here at Freedom Fuel Network’s gas stations,” someone added in a voiceover.

However, a White House spokesperson told CBS News on Wednesday, July 8, that a private company is behind the Freedom Fuel Network and that the Trump administration is not involved with the company or subsidizing the gas stations. Additionally, the spokesperson explained the company owns 25 filling stations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

According to AAA, the average price of gas on Thursday, July 9, in Pennsylvania is $3.99, in New Jersey $3.89, and nationally $3.84. Last month, the national average was $4.16, a significant increase from a year ago, which was $3.16. Oil and fuel prices rose after the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran in February, CBS News reported.

So how is Freedom Fuel Network lowering prices? The company said it reduced its profit margins, per CBS News.
