Washington Authorities Recover Stolen Bentley, Aston Martin Worth Combined $400,000
Authorities in Washington have recovered two stolen luxury vehicles with a combined value of around $400,000, but the investigation into a suspected fraud operation remains ongoing.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said deputies assisted the Snohomish County Auto Theft Task Force (SNOCAT) on Sept. 8 in recovering a 2022 Bentley and a 2021 Aston Martin, both of which were stolen.
According to investigators, the luxury vehicles were stolen through “fraudulent transactions involving vehicle auctions and commercial transportation services.”
The vehicle identification numbers (VINs) of both vehicles had either been altered or were “in the process of being altered” in order to conceal their true identities and ownership.
The investigation, which is being led by Maryville Police Sgt. Derek Carlile, who serves as SNOCAT sergeant, remains ongoing.
