‘Walking Houseplant’ Captured On Surveillance Video Is Georgia Suspect’s Leafy Disguise
Authorities in Georgia are seeking the public’s help identifying a “walking houseplant” captured on home surveillance video during a recent car theft.
The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office said a “walking houseplant” was spotted on a Ring surveillance video in what appears to be a shed or garage after a vehicle stolen from Pickens County was abandoned and later recovered in Fairmount.
The video shows the suspect holding a large potted plant in an effort to hide himself from the camera.
“It appears someone thought a handful of leafy branches was the perfect disguise,” the sheriff’s office wrote alongside the video. “While they made a creative attempt to hide from the camera, let’s just say Mother Nature isn’t an invisibility cloak.”
The sheriff’s office is asking anyone who recognizes the suspect to contact the Criminal Investigations unit at 706-253-8935 or text PSOtip and a tip to 847411.
