“The guy has lost everything, including his freedom, and some of his friends are still utterly sympathetic and want to help him,” a source says of the convicted rapist, who is serving 30 years in prison at California Men’s Colony, a source tells the National Enquirer.
Those include a few of his That ’70s Show castmates, like Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, who both wrote letters to the judge vouching for Masterson’s character ahead of his 2023 sentencing.

The couple are “still die-hard supporters,” says the source, adding that some former costars are “more cautious” about standing by Masterson, 49, because of the likely public relations backlash.
Others want nothing to do with him.
“Topher Grace can barely contain his disdain for Danny and he’s fine with the idea of him rotting in prison,” says the source, adding that the “same goes” for Seth Meyers’ younger brother Josh Meyers, “who joined the show late in its run in a major part, and stayed the hell away from that guy.”

The Fox series ran from 1998 to 2006, and Masterson was cut from the 25th anniversary celebration at San Diego Comic-Con in 2023.
“It’s almost impossible to imagine getting even half this cast together to celebrate the next milestone,” says the source, “because they are all tortured over their differences on Danny and his character. It’s an incredibly tricky situation!”
