As convicted rapist Danny Masterson begins his third of 30 years in prison — and his ex-wife and 11-year-old daughter Fianna move on without him — a source reflects on the life he was forced to leave behind because of his crimes.
When the career-ending sexual assault allegations first surfaced in 2017, the That ’70s Show alum, 49, and his then-wife, model Bijou Phillips, 45, left Hollywood for a farm nearly three hours north in California’s scenic Santa Ynez Valley.

There, “Danny immediately began to work the land and grow a beautiful vineyard with 6,000 vines, that he tended on his own,” Phillips wrote to the judge prior to his sentencing, adding that he planned to enter the business of winemaking. “He toiled long days on the land to make it profitable for our family.”

The sprawling estate, set amid the rolling hills of wine country, became his sanctuary in 2022 as he awaited his trial, a source tells the Enquirer. “Once in a while he would go out, dressed down and as incognito as possible, to fetch Starbucks or head to a meeting with his business team or lawyers,” says the source.
But most of his time was spent among his vines or with Fianna.

“He was devoted to our daughter, would read her books, take her on walks and to ballet lessons,” Phillips explained in her letter, adding that Masterson helped with homework, watched their little girl practice piano and bought her a pony. “The two were inseparable.”
As Enquirer previously reported, the disgraced actor was “blindsided” when his ex, who filed for divorce shortly after his sentencing, legally changed Fianna’s last name from Masterson to Phillips on Friday, October 24.
“He never thought Bijou would be so ruthless to wash her hands of him like this,” an insider exclusively shares. “He was already in a very dark place and struggling with life on the inside. He has so little if anything to live for right now, and this latest setback appears to be taking him over the edge. His life has turned into a living hell.”
