Shirley MacLaine Still Living Life to the Fullest at 91, Not Letting Health Issues ‘Hold Her Back’

Shirley MacLaine is still tripping the light fantastic at 91!

The colorfully dressed, geriatric Oscar winner was caught on camera while nimbly catching herself before stumbling on the sidewalk in Malibu on her way to another night out at her favorite steakhouse — but sources say it’s only because her aging legs can’t keep up with her.

The Kennedy Center honoree, who recently moved back to the big-city life in L.A., can now regularly be seen making the scene at Hollywood’s hottest spots.

The actress bought a splashy oceanfront home in Malibu after selling her Santa Fe, N.M., ranch for $4.2 million last year, per Daily Mail.

The still-working actress was recently seen dining and enjoying a cocktail at the Sunset Restaurant in Malibu with 40-years-younger Stephen Dorff, her costar in the upcoming film People Not Places.

The Sweet Charity star appeared to have a ball with the Hollywood bad boy as they guzzled rosé and dug into fish tacos.

Sources say she’s even asked friends to help her find a personal assistant who’ll be her wingman when she hits the early-evening happy hours.

“The main qualifications she has required are that the applicants need to be available for a cocktail with her at 5 p.m. and then be able to discuss her movies and career,” an insider says.

The Wild Oats star has shrugged off the ailments that come with aging, inspiring far younger actresses. Christina Applegate, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021, said, “There are things I want to do with the days I have left in life. I want to work with Shirley MacLaine!”

Says one Tinseltown insider, “She doesn’t let any health issues or her insecurities hold her back. She’s going to keep living like a kid — for as long as she can!”
