Authorities in Florida assured motorists they were not “seeing double” when two simultaneous accidents took place on Interstate 95 and an overpass above on Monday.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said Monday that deputies were working two separate accident scenes at the same location in the area of northbound I-95 and Bridge Road west of Hobe Sound.
“You aren’s seeing double,” the sheriff’s office wrote alongside a photo showing one accident scene on the highway and another with an upside-down vehicle on the bridge above.
Westbound traffic on Bridge Road was impacted due to that crash, which resulted in injury, according to the sheriff’s office. Northbound traffic was affected on I-95, and motorists were advised to use alternate routes.
“Please slow down and be cautious or this could be you!” the sheriff’s office said.
