Savannah Guthrie has called for the public to pray for her mother Nancy Guthrie.
On Sunday February 1, Nancy, 84, was reported missing in Tucson, Arizona, after she was reportedly last seen on the night of Saturday, January 31, outside her house.
Today anchor Savannah, 54, has now pleaded with the public to keep her mom in their thoughts.
She wrote on Instagram: “We believe in prayer. we believe in voices raised in unison, in love, in hope. we believe in goodness. we believe in humanity. above all, we believe in Him.”

“Thank you for lifting your prayers with ours for our beloved mom, our dearest Nancy, a woman of deep conviction, a good and faithful servant. raise your prayers with us and believe with us that she will be lifted by them in this very moment. We need you,” she continued.
“‘He will keep in perfect peace those whose hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.’ A verse of Isaiah for all time for all of us. Bring her home,” Savannah concluded her post.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has told TMZ he believes Nancy was taken from her bed.
According to TMZ, a rep for the Pima County Sheriff’s Office says Nancy is thought to have been abducted from her house, and investigators have been looking at registered sex offenders in the area.
The sheriff’s department are in talks with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the sheriff’s spokesperson told the website that Customs and Border Protection are also involved with the missing person case.

Nanos revealed in a press conference on Monday, February 2, that Nancy’s home is considered a “crime scene”, and insisted the Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) have spent “a lot of resources” searching for Savannah’s mother.
He said: “We saw some things at the home that were concerning to us. We believe now, after we’ve processed that crime scene, that we do, in fact, have a crime scene, that we do, in fact, have a crime and we’re asking the community’s help.”
