Reward Offered For Trio Of ‘Tomb Raiders’ Robbing Gravesites Across The Country

Authorities in Florida are seeking the public’s help locating a trio of “tomb raiders” wanted for allegedly stealing heirlooms and other property from gravesites at cemeteries across the country.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said there are warrants out for the arrests of Drake Lee Milam, 33; his girlfriend, Porsche Bancroft, 32; and her mother, Angela Garrett, 52, calling for their extradition back to Florida to face charges.

According to the sheriff’s office, the trio travels to cemeteries across the country to “break into niches containing cremated remains, and steal the family heirlooms.”

The suspects, from Indianapolis, Ind., “have hit at least nine states in their disturbing crime spree,” the sheriff’s office said. They are suspected in 20 open cases in Florida, but “detectives believe there could be many more.” The Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution is handling the case.

“Imagine losing your wife or husband and placing their wedding ring, and yours, in the niche – only to have them stolen by thieves looking for an easy payday,” the sheriff’s office said. “Please check your loved one’s resting place to make sure your prized heirlooms are safe.”
