PS Conway offers a sardonic look back at the Covid-19 lockdown in his forthcoming book, “Life Sucks: Memories and Introspections During the Great Covid Lockdown.”

“Life Sucks” offers a collection of humorous essays that were written during 40 weeks of lockdown and originally shared on Conway’s now-defunct blog “Life Sucks. Laugh Here.” The essays cover topics ranging from the existential significance of a colonoscopy, the overlooked reality of “Manopause,” the question of whether baseball is really a sport, and whether it’s fair to experience schadenfreude, enjoying the suffering of bad people.

Fans of Seinfeld’s humor about “nothing” and those skeptical of society’s absurdities will appreciate the way Conway fearlessly skewers lockdown life, politics, and the human condition.

“Its a time capsule of chaos,” Conway says. “We all needed a laugh — especially during those 2020 lockdowns when life was, frankly, absurd. My goal? Help readers learn a little, laugh a lot, and realize none of it mattered anyway. Spoiler alert: facts are all just sciences opinions anyway.”

Conway’s takes on the Great Covid Lockdown follow in the footsteps of other historical chronicles inspired by the various plagues that have shaped human history, offering a nostalgic look at a “troubling period in history” with a cautionary reflection on the cyclical absurdity of civilization.

“Life Sucks,” from Fictional Café Press, hits shelves on April 1.
