Priscilla Presley Says Lisa Marie’s Death Was ‘Second Saddest Day’ of Her Life Amid Shocking Lawsuit

Priscilla Presley is looking back on what it was like losing daughter Lisa Marie Presley, whom she shared with her late ex-husband, Elvis Presley. 

“It was the second saddest day of my life, other than losing Elvis,” Priscilla told People in a story published on Wednesday, September 17.  “It took a long time to come to terms with the fact that Lisa was gone.”

On January 12, 2023, Lisa Marie tragically passed away from a small bowel obstruction that developed after she underwent bariatric surgery years before. She was 54 years old.

Priscilla recalled getting to the hospital and learning the devastating news that her daughter would not recover.

“We were there all day long. Lisa really wasn’t breathing, so she was on the ventilator,” Priscilla shared with People. “For hours we were there waiting, hoping and praying until the doctor came in and said, ‘Priscilla, I’m so sorry, she’s gone.’ We just couldn’t believe it — didn’t want to believe it. It was hard on all of us, it still is.”

As the National Enquirer previously reported, Lisa Marie is currently embroiled in a $50 million fraud lawsuit with her former business associates, Brigitte Kruse and Kevin Fialko. In court documents, they alleged that Priscilla “pulled the plug” on Lisa Marie so she could run Elvis’ trust.

Priscilla’s lawyer, Marty Singer, vehemently denied the allegations in a statement to The New York Times.

“This is, without a doubt, one of the most shameful, ridiculous, salacious, and meritless lawsuits I have seen in my practice,” Singer said.
