Prince William ‘Not Done’ Slimming Down the Monarchy: ‘Plenty More’ People ‘He Has His Eyes On’ (Exclusive)

Prince William is ruthless when it comes to his vision of how things should run in the British monarchy, a source tells the National Enquirer.

Once crowned king, “he plans on cutting anyone he feels is coasting or trading off the royal name without pulling their weight,” reveals the source.

The heir apparent, 43, has “already started by pushing out” Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, the source notes, as well as their scandal-plagued parents, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson.

“There are plenty more he has his eyes on. He’s not done yet,” hints the source. “That said, it’s not just about getting rid of people. He’s also very focused on building a team he actually believes in.”

William and his wife, Princess Kate, have taken a huge shine towards Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie’s son James Mountbatten Windsor, with sources confirming the 18-year-old will be a big part of the royal pecking order when they take the throne.

“[William] sees him as someone who’s been brought up the right way: grounded, well-educated, no drama, and crucially someone who will give to the institution more than they take,” says the Enquirer’s source.

The Earl of Wessex and his parents joined the Waleses at Easter Matins Service on Sunday, April, 5, at Windsor Castle, where, per the Daily Mail, he was seen chatting with Kate, 44, outside of St. George’s Chapel.

“Yes, William wants a slimmed-down monarchy,” notes the source, “but he still needs strong players around him and James is exactly the kind of dependable character he thinks will serve the Crown well.”
