President Donald Trump Threatens Other Countries After Capturing Venezuelan President
President Donald Trump set his sights on Colombia, Cuba, Mexico and Greenland following the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
“We were ready for a second wave, we were all set to go, but we don’t think we’re gonna need it,” the president, 79, told reporters aboard Air Force One on Sunday, January 4, of a possible second attack on Venezuela. “If they don’t behave, we will do a second strike.”
The billionaire president added that countries like Colombia and Mexico are “pouring” drugs into the United States.
Colombia, for instance, Trump claimed is being “run by a sick man who likes making cocaine and selling it to the United States, and he’s not going to be doing it very long.”
“By the way, you have to do something with Mexico,” he continued. “Mexico has to get their act together because they’re pouring through Mexico and we’re going to have to do something.”
He then targeted Greenland, which he previously focused on throughout 2025.
“It’s so strategic right now. Greenland is covered with Russian and Chinese ships all over the place,” Trump said. “We need Greenland from the standpoint of national security, and Denmark is not going to be able to do it.”
The following day, the administration raised eyebrows when the State Department’s official X page shared an image of Trump with the words “This is OUR hemisphere” written over it.
