Authorities in Florida are seeking the public’s help identifying two suspects caught on camera causing nearly $100,000 in damages to a luxury condominium building.
The St. Petersburg Police Department on Wednesday shared surveillance video of the vandalism incident, which took place at around 11:30 p.m. on July 11, outside The Residences at 400 Central Avenue downtown.
The video shows one of the two individuals kicking a landscaping light, pulling it out of the ground, and throwing it at the glass windows of the building. Photos taken the following day show multiple large windows shattered.
According to police, the vandals tore up a total of 14 landscaping lights and broke three large windows, amounting to $96,000 in damages.
The luxury condo building is the largest residential tower in St. Pete, and the ground floor reportedly remains under construction.
Police are asking anyone who recognizes the individuals in the video to contact investigators at 727-893-7780 or text SPPD along with a tip to TIP411.
