More than 200 hogs were killed when the tractor-trailer transporting them crashed and overturned in Missouri on Friday, officials said.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) said troopers were investigating after a tractor-trailer hauling 650 hogs crashed and rolled over Route HH, near Tuscumbia in Miller County, on Friday.
A photo shared by MSHP shows the open trailer lying on its side in a ditch off the side of the road, while a tow truck operator uses a crane crane boom to try to pull it upright.
Troopers said no people were injured in the crash, but “a little over 200” of the hogs were killed.
