Natasha Lyonne Says She Is ‘Doing a Whole Lot Better’ Three Months After Announcing Relapse

Natasha Lyonne is winning the battle with her demons.

The former Russian Doll star, 46, has revealed she is stable around three months after a relapse in her continuing fight to stay sober.

“Proud to report this kid is doing a whole lot better back on her feet,” she wrote in a post on X.

“Want to thank our recovery communities and the fans who stood by and were so supportive. Aiming to keep the journey somehow private, but look forward to sharing my experience, strength and hope as makes sense,” the Orange Is the New Black alum added.

“My heart is with everyone ever going through it,” she concluded.

Lyonne opened up about relapsing after 20 yeas of sobriety back in January.

“Took my relapse public more to come,” she wrote in a now deleted post on X. “Recovery is a lifelong process. Anyone out there struggling, remember you’re not alone. Grateful for love and smart feet…”

The actress, who has finished her run on Poker Face, is scheduled to direct a biopic about hockey player Sophie “Bambo” Braverman this Summer,  having also written the script for the project as per Deadline.

According to a People report, the actress, who has finished her run on Poker Face, spoke with media in February 2024, ahead of hosting the AMPAS Sci-Tech Awards that she still was excited by her work on the big screen.

“I love movies,” she said, adding that they’re “the only thing I really understand in this life.”

“They’ve got everything I like: music and stories and images, and they’ll break your heart, and make you laugh, and all the rest.”
