A North Carolina woman was arrested on charges of child abuse for allegedly allowing a known sex offender babysit her 5-year-old daughter, resulting in abuse of the child.
Candice Angela Malone was arrested and charged with felony childcare in a sex offender home and misdemeanor child abuse for allegedly leaving her daughter alone with Dale Ray Turner, a registered sex offender since February. According to a warrant viewed by National Enquirer, Malone allowed Turner to bathe the child and take unclothed photos of her in a bathtub.
The warrant also alleged Malone was aware of Turner’s sex offender status and was told by Caldwell County DSS not to allow him around her children. Despite that warning, she allowed him to remain unsupervised around her daughter, and Turner allegedly abused the minor.

Meanwhile, Turner was charged with child abuse for allegedly having marijuana within reasonable reach of the child as well as failing to properly identify as a sex offender in North Carolina when he moved.
Law & Crime reported he was originally convicted in 2010 of raping a victim under the age of 16 and again in 2013 for indecent assault and a sex offense against a child in Pennsylvania.
