Model Recruiter Accused of Connecting Women to Jeffrey Epstein Found Dead in Paris

A French model recruiter who allegedly arranged meet ups between clients and the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was found dead on Monday, July 20, according to reports.

Daniel Siad was found dead in his residence in Colombes, a suburb of Paris, a deputy public prosecutor at the Nanterre Judicial Court in France confirmed to CNN on Wednesday, July 22.

Siad’s cause and manner of death are currently unknown. An autopsy has yet to be performed.

Siad and Epstein were allegedly business associates and friends for more than 10 years, TMZ reported. Multiple outlets have alleged that Siad admitted he would arrange female models to meet with Epstein.

Two women who met Epstein via Siad’s introduction previously claimed to CNN that they were abused by Epstein. At the time, Siad told the outlet: “I trusted him and believed this guy was a professional person. I never heard anything from anyone I introduced to him who came back to me that they had a bad situation.”

Siad still conducted business with Epstein after his 2008 conviction on sex crimes, according to CNN. The late modeling recruiter also previously alleged to CNN that Epstein was a casting director for Victoria’s Secret as well as a modeling agency named MC2 — claims the news network never found evidence to support.

MC2 cofounder Jean-Luc Brunel died by suicide in 2022 while awaiting trial for rape, sexual assault, and human trafficking, per ABC News.

Former Victoria’s Secret CEO Les Wexner, a former Epstein client, has denied knowledge of wrongdoing by the financier, per NBC. The outlet reported that Wexner told Congress earlier this year that Epstein also “conned” and stole money from him.

The Epstein Files released by the Department of Justice showed that Epstein had paid “tens of thousands of dollars” to Siad, per CNN. The files also showed evidence that Siad was in search of a “good looking young assistant” for the late financier.

One email from Epstein to Siad allegedly claimed that one of the women appeared “too old.” Siad’s emails to Epstein also allegedly showed young women in “provocative poses,” the outlet reported, citing DOJ files. Siad’s name also appeared in the files over 2,000 times, the outlet claimed.

Siad was reportedly accused of rape in an alleged incident that dated back to the ’90s. Prior to his death, Siad denied the allegation, per the report.

Epstein died in 2019 in a Manhattan jail while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges. In 2008, he pleaded guilty in Florida to soliciting prostitution from a minor.
