Jeffrey Epstein has been dead since 2019, but it’s possible his biological material remains viable in cold storage somewhere.

According to a Monday, June 1 report from The New York Times, records in the Epstein files released by the Justice Department reveal that the convicted pedophile had been banking his sperm since at least 2012 before his death at age 73.

The files reveal that he deposited his sperm with California Cryobank in October of 2012 and signed a new contract with the same company in May of 2016. The contract reportedly specified that the specimens were not to be discarded if he died. Instead, they’d go to his estate or other legal guardianship.

The outlet reports that much of his estate went to his girlfriend, Karyna Shuliak, through a trust. However, roughly 40 other people are also named as potential beneficiaries. Furthermore, it’s unclear if Epstein’s sperm is still saved. CooperCompanies, which took over California Cryobank in 2021, told the outlet it is no longer storing any samples associated with Epstein. However, it would not answer whether the specimens were destroyed or simply moved elsewhere.

In the years leading up to his death, Epstein was reportedly enamored with the idea of spreading his DNA to several women and began taking steps to preserve his semen and increase virility and sperm count.

The disgraced former financier was awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges in a Manhattan jail when he allegedly died by suicide in 2019. In 2008, he pleaded guilty in Florida to soliciting prostitution from a minor.
