‘Masked Intruders’ Found Trapped In Police Station’s Dumpster Rescued By Officers
Police in Maine said on Facebook, they found four “masked intruders” trapped inside their dumpster over the weekend and mounted a rescue.
The Winslow Police Department said SRO Ellen Stewart and Officer Josh Chouinard received a report Sunday afternoon that four “masked intruders” had become trapped inside the dumpster at the police station.
Photos shared by the police department show the “masked” bandits were in fact raccoons who found themselves stuck inside the large metal bin with afternoon temperatures heating up.
With the help of a plank of wood, Officer Chouinard gave the animals a way to climb out on their own.
“The four young bandits were clearly warm and in a predicament,” police said. “With a little assistance all found their way to safety.”
