Man Arrested For Allegedly ‘Surfing Naked’ On Moving Train In Colorado
An Arizona man was arrested in Colorado for allegedly “surfing naked” on top of a moving Union Pacific Railroad train, authorities said.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said some residents got an eyeful on July 15 when a nude man was spotted on top of a moving locomotive.
“For those of you who had the unfortunate experience of seeing this gentleman surfing naked on top of a moving locomotive yesterday, I want you to know that he was arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges,” the sheriff’s office wrote on social media.
According to the sheriff’s office, Daniel Ray Ballance of Quartzsite, Ariz., allegedly broke a window on a locomotive on a Union Pacific Railroad line to get inside.
“To some he blew the horn, to others he showed a little too much,” the sheriff’s office said. “Daniel expressed his love of vodka, beer, and playing the Banjo. Unfortunately, we had to separate him from those loves and the train ride.”
Ballance was booked into jail on unspecified charges. Online records indicate he is scheduled to appear in Sedgwick County Combined Court on Aug. 5.
