One week after reporting that Family Feud host Steve Harvey’s son and daughter-in-law were hospitalized in Florida due to an alleged overindulgence in psychedelic mushrooms, the National Enquirer has learned a man was arrested at the scene.
The 31-year-old, whose name we are withholding, was cited for tampering with a victim, tampering with witnesses, and use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony in connection with the incident in October 2024 — but the charges were ultimately dropped.

According to a police report, the guy claimed he was hired by Jason Harvey, 34, and his wife, Amanda, 32, to film a “healing documentary” they were creating about “waking up past the system.”
As the Enquirer reported, lawmen stated Jason and Amanda were rushed to a hospital after consuming a highly potent strain of mushrooms known as Enigma in a Jupiter Island, Fla., “drug house.”

Lawmen say Amanda was partially clothed and unconscious, while another woman in the house wailed, “My body is dying!”
According to the man’s case report, officers hauled him in for allegedly preventing the distraught gal from calling 911 when she believed she’d overdosed, as well as supposedly phoning an unidentified party from the back of a police cruiser to tell him to make sure Jason, Amanda and the woman kept their mouths shut.
Multiple efforts by the Enquirer to reach the man went unanswered at press time.
