LinkedIn has released its ninth annual Top Companies list, highlighting the 50 U.S. employers offering the most robust career growth opportunities.

The rankings are based on exclusive LinkedIn data, analyzing factors such as advancement potential, skills development, company stability, and internal mobility.

Topping the 2025 list are Alphabet, Amazon, Wells Fargo, Northrop Grumman, and PwC. Capital One, AT&T, JPMorgan Chase, EY and Walmart round out the top 10.

These companies, among others on the list, are recognized not only for retaining talent but also for their strong investment in upskilling employees — particularly in artificial intelligence, which LinkedIn has identified as the fastest-growing skill in the country.

Learning and development opportunities remain a top priority for job seekers. A quarter of U.S. professionals say it’s the most important factor when deciding whether to apply for a job, making it a critical element in todays competitive labor market.

Across the board, companies featured on this years list are leaning into AI. Bank of America, for example, supports employees with “Erica for Employees,” a virtual assistant. AT&Ts staff can access its “Ask AT&T” productivity tool, and PwC has committed $1 billion to upskill over 75,000 employees through its “My AI” initiative.

Others are customizing AI-driven learning tools. Moderna has launched an AI Academy and Learning Hub, while Regeneron developed an “AI Career Ladder” to guide employees from entry-level positions to leadership roles. Even consulting firm Kearney is training staff in responsible AI use.

Beyond tech skills, companies are also revamping how they support long-term career development. Walmart has invested $1 billion in training and education programs, EY has shifted from a traditional career ladder to a more fluid “career playground,” and ServiceNow uses AI to match employees with learning resources tailored to their goals.

To address the needs of a multigenerational workforce, top companies are also expanding mentorship models. Moderna pairs younger hires with senior executives in reverse mentorships, while firms like Lockheed Martin and Fidelity are facilitating cross-generational connections to bridge communication gaps and broaden support.

For those hoping to land a job with one of this years top companies, LinkedIn is offering several LinkedIn Learning courses for free through May 7. The lineup includes “Landing a Job as a Skills-First Candidate” and “Nano Tips for Advancing Your Career.”

With more than 129,000 open roles at the top companies, LinkedIns 2025 list offers insight into not just where people want to work — but where they can grow.
