Kit Hoover Divorces After 25 Years — Amid Rumors of Rekindled ‘Unfinished Business’ with Billy Bush

Access Hollywood Host Kit Hoover has announced she’s divorcing husband Crowley Sullivan after 25 years of marriage — and insiders say her flirty chemistry with former cohost Billy Bush may have been to blame.

According to court papers, the ex-spouses cited “irreconcilable differences,” but now sources are questioning her closeness with Bush.

Sources say the sparks between Kit, 54, and 53-year-old Billy — who worked together from 2010 to 2016 — were the worst-kept celebrity secret among show staffers, as the pair would go out together for drinks, constantly text each other and openly flirt.

“It was obvious to everyone,” an insider says. “They never admitted it, but come on — we weren’t blind.”

Sources say the coanchors were essentially attached at the hip and did everything together — to the point where Crowley felt like the odd man out.

But in 2016, Bush dropped Access for what he called his “dream job” — hosting the third hour of Today in New York.

“She was absolutely crushed,” a close friend says. “Billy didn’t just leave the show, he ghosted her. It was like she never existed.”

But when the notorious hot mic tape of Bush’s crude conversation with now-President Donald Trump about Access cohost Nancy O’Dell leaked months later, Billy’s career imploded.

“It was a PR nuke,” an NBC insider explains. “One minute he’s schmoozing on set, the next he’s being escorted out the door.”

Sources say the incident also weighed heavily on Bush’s 20-year marriage to Sydney Davis, who filed for divorce in 2018.

Yet Kit was one of the few industry folks who defended her former colleague over the blowup by saying, “It was just devastating to watch how all this has unfolded, and the Billy that I know and a lot of people would say has the biggest heart of anybody … is a good person.”

Insiders say Bush never forgot that, and the pals have become closer than ever.

“They’re both single and ready to mingle, and they have been talking — a lot,” a source says.

The first insider adds, “They’ve got history. Unfinished business. They had something real. The kind of chemistry you don’t fake. Maybe this time, they’ll get it right.”
