Keith Urban’s ‘Protective’ Big Brother ‘Urging’ Singer to Return Home to Australia ‘For a Reset”

Keith Urban and his big brother, Shane Urban, live very different lives.

One is a Nashville-based country music superstar and the other works at the Coolum Beach Surf Live Saving Club in their native Australia.

However, that hasn’t stopped Shane from stepping up to help Keith, 58, heal from his divorce from ex-wife Nicole Kidman, an insider tells the National Enquirer.

“He’s very protective of him and he’s not happy at all with the way things are playing out right now,” reveals the insider. “He feels certain people in Hollywood and especially within Nicole’s circle have treated Keith really poorly and he’s pretty riled up about it.”

After splitting last September, Kidman, 58, reached a settlement with Keith that granted her primary custody of their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith, 15.

“The biggest concern right now is the way their kids have turned on Keith,” the insider notes. “Anyone who knows Keith knows that’s been crushing for him.”

An insider told Naughty But Nice‘s Rob Shuter that the girls have “essentially cut off all contact with Keith” post-divorce, and it’s left him feeling “erased,” added a source.

“Shane has been urging Keith to come home for a reset,” says the Enquirer‘s insider. “He thinks it would do him a world of good to have a break from his crazy schedule and all the noise.”

It could also give the “Making Memories of Us” singer a chance to reconnect with his daughters.

“Ideally, he’d love to see Keith bring the girls with him for a visit, but it’s clear that’s not going to happen right now,” admits the insider, “so the first priority is just getting Keith back on home turf, surrounded by people who have his back no matter what.”
