He’s setting the record straight: Jason Kelce has publicly denied ever making a statement about the controversy swirling around Bad Bunny’s upcoming Super Bowl halftime show that went viral earlier this week.
The quote — “If Bad Bunny is a bad fit for the Super Bowl, then maybe the people making these comments are a bad fit for America’s future” — was widely shared and attributed to Kelce.
Taking to X on October 14, the former Philadelphia Eagles player, 37, went on the offense.
“I normally don’t comment on things like this, but I feel I need to address that there are a number of accounts posting fake quotes and attributing them to me on this platform right now,” Kelce wrote, adding that he wouldn’t “call out” the offending accounts to “avoid amplifying their engagement.”

The New Heights podcaster also warned: “Unless you hear something directly from me via one of my platforms, it is not real.”
Meanwhile, Bad Bunny, 31, is enjoying the upside of the increased scrutiny surrounding his Superbowl gig. According to ABC News, the rapper’s on-demand music streams in the U.S. jumped 26 percent from 173 million to 218.5 million streams within days of the September 28 announcement from the NFL.
Super Bowl LX is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 8.
