Investigation Underway After Hiker Finds Human Remains In Colorado

An investigation is underway after a hiker in Colorado discovered human remains, authorities said.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday that its investigators and the Douglas County Search and Rescue Team searched an area near Crowfoot Valley Road and Pradera Parkway, southeast of Castle Pines, after a hiker reported finding human remains.
Photos shared by the sheriff’s office show search teams sweeping a large, grassy expanse surround by hills. At least one drone was also deployed to search from the air.
The sheriff’s office did not provide any further details about the remains, including how long they may have been there or whether foul play is suspected.
The investigation remains ongoing.
