Innocent Florida Woman Jailed for 13 Days Over Flock Camera Mix-up Sues Highway Patrol

A Florida woman is suing the state’s highway patrol after she was wrongfully arrested and spent nearly two weeks in jail due to a mixup involving the state’s Flock cameras.

Lindsey Brooke Isaacs was accused of crashing her Dodge Durango on Interstate 4 in Volusia County in October 2025, resulting in a pileup that left two drivers and a motorcyclist dead. Speaking on the Wednesday, September 9 episode of TheCyberGuy Report podcast, Isaacs explained that police told her she was suspected of the crime seven months before investigators decided to jail her.

“There was so much evidence that I was not involved or nowhere near this accident,” she said.

It was investigators’ alleged reliance on a Flock camera that led to her being jailed. Essentially, police knew they were looking for a Dodge Durango and found hers in the area around the time of the accident, she claimed on the podcast. However, her attorney did a time analysis that proved she could not have still been in the area when the accident occurred.

According to the lawsuit Isaacs filed, which was viewed by National Enquirer, her car was seen three miles from the crash scene heading toward her home. Additionally, her black Dodge Durango had no damage to it whatsoever, and was described as “showroom quality” despite Florida Highway Patrol allegedly telling her at the time that there was damage consistent with the accident.

Her car was seized as evidence on the night of the crash, and kept up to and through her incarceration.

The lawsuit argues that police only searched Flock cameras for a black Durango despite witnesses at the scene being unclear about the color of the car, only agreeing that it was dark.

Eventually, police let her go and dropped all charges against her. Months later, WESH reports that Alisa Lee Montalvo, who had a maroon Dodge Durango, was arrested for the crime in May 2026. She has pleaded not guilty and is awaiting trial.
